A week as an alto

Last week my choir director thought it might be fun to shake things up a bit and move me and a few other people around. One minute I was a soprano, singing the highest notes in the class (thank you very much) and the next i was moved to the lowest and weakest section in the choir- the altos. I was completely devastated. I was scared for both myself and the sopranos, because being the loudest in my section, they would need to step it up without me. not trying to brag or anything. but with the support of my friends i made it through the week, strengthening the altos as i accepted the challenge. On Friday though, she moved me back to the sopranos where the help was truly needed. I am back to being a soprano one, where my voice belongs.

Its been a long time, so this is just an update.

Camp was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it was!

Life Changing!

School started 2 weeks ago and i love my classes. I have all pre ap classes including algebra. Oi. That class is not much fun, but i love it anyways. My favorite core class is Us history though. US history is so much fun plus the teacher is hilarious. We watch funny videos in the middle of our notes and we learn a ton.

Now my favorite class is choir. that class is amazing and i have it at the end of the day so we have something to look forward too. Karate is definitely whipping me back into shape. but its fun.

I have a lot of classes with my best friends so its great.

8th grade is definitely going to be a great year!

Rockets Game!!! Part 2

Okay, sorry it took a while to get this up. I've had finals all week and haven't been able to do more than check my email.
OMCAEC!!!!! IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!
****List of events leading up to Rockets Game****
First I went to a birthday party. We went shopping because we were going to go see twilight, but they cancels the showing of it. We were about to sew the movie theater.

After that, we came home and I got dressed and did my hair.

Then I went to Starbucks because I needed caffeine. I got a venti carmel frappaccino. very yummy.

Once I got to the school, the choir and I warmed up and I got on the bus with my friend Reina and we went to the Toyota center.

We got to the Toyota Center and went into the Atrium to practice. The acoustics in there were awesome. we were echoing. So cool.

We then went into this place sort of like a hallway but it was underneath the stands. We waited like thirty minutes. and I REALLY had to go to the bathroom. It wasn't to smart to drink a very large coffee right before I went. Let me make this clear I drank the coffee at 4:00. I started having to go around 6:00. I couldn't go until after 7:30. Yeah. i was tortured.

We sang to be sound-checked. and then we walked out onto the court!

No words could explain how I felt right then. WOW!!! It was like the whole stadium opened up in front of me. It was huge and loud. We walked onto the court. To my right were the Rockets. To my left were the Knicks. Yao Ming was a GIANT. I mean he was like huge!!! Then again, they all were all that way. When that horn went off, I thought I went deaf. Ms. Hutson gave us our starting pitch and the announcer did his job. The spotlight was on us and we sang.

We rocked the HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

We then went off the court and went to our seats. (And Yes, I ALMOST Tripped. :D) I was just glad to finally go to the bathroom. then I had A potato the size of my brother (He's about 10 inches long right now). Then I relaxed and watched the game. Well, I wouldn't say relaxed. I had to move between My row and Reina's row about every five minutes.

I had a blast though!!!! I can't wait to do it next year!!!!

Rockets game!!!

A few months back, I auditioned to be on the National Anthem crew at school. I made it of course, but I never expected to be singing at a Rockets game!!! We sent in a tape to the Rockets organization and we got in!!! Tonight is the night! We will be on the court of the toyota center in less than 5 hours singing in front of almost 18,000 people with one of my best friends!!! I'm nervous, but excited. We got a special shirt and everything. I have to go primp myself up, so ttyl bloggers!!!!!!
